We have published a study in the prestigious BMJ STI journal describing the development and evaluation of an innovative intervention to improve HIV testing using digital vending machines to deliver HIV self-tests. The user collects a sample of blood and get the results in 15 minutes. The study demonstrated that vending machines to distribute HIV self-tests was feasible and acceptable. This work has the potential to improve access to HIV testing to key populations at risk of HIV.
