Dr Marija Pantelic

Dr Marija Pantelic is an Assistant Professor in Public Health at University of Sussex and Associate Member of the Centre for Evidence-Based Intervention at Oxford University. Dr Pantelic’s research aims to advance understanding of (and develop interventions to address) stigma and discrimination associated with health disparities. She is passionate about using public health research for social change, and is lucky to work with HIV and human rights activists around the world. Dr Pantelic has been technical advisor to United Nations agencies, international non-governmental organizations, community networks, service providers, the private sector, and governments on key issues impacting communities affected by HIV, stigma and discrimination. She is a member of the Global Partnership for Action to Eliminate HIV-related Stigma and Discrimination and the Brighton City Taskforce for Eliminating HIV Stigma.
